On January 22, Consul General Liu Jun in Erbil made a special trip to Dohuk Province in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to extend greetings to local overseas Chinese compatriots. He conveyed the greetings and concerns of the Communist Party of China and the government to them and presented them with warm "Spring Festival packages".

After visiting several stores owned by overseas Chinese compatriots, Liu Jun and colleagues held talks with compatriots and inquired about their work and living conditions in detail and introduced the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC and relevant consular policies. Liu Jun commended their perseverance in the Kurdistan Region and contributing to the local economic and social development. He also extended holiday greetings and hoped that they could better integrate into the local society, operate in compliance with laws and regulations, and show good images of the Chinese people.
